Illuminated Letter Project

In my Digital Art class our assignment was to take a letter and choose the font and create an illuminated letter in respect to when clergy men would hand write and paint copies of books and certain letters would be finely decorated. However, instead of hand painting we used Adobe Illustrator to create it.

Description of project: A commercial to invite Sophomores to apply for CAL using scenes shot at a nearby studio, Metro East, edited in Premiere.

Standard 1: Exhibit the knowledge and skills required to design a video production.

• Target 10: Demonstrate knowledge of basic non-linear editing

Slow Motion

 

Description of project:

A short film that exampled slow motion using different frame rates and comparing each of the clips to both the real-time effect and the other frame rates.

Project standards:

Standard 2: Demonstrate the use of basic equipment, software and technology to create a video production.

• Target 5: Demonstrate how to safely and responsibly use all equipment

• Target 8: Demonstrate camera operations for a production

Standard 4: Exhibit ability to edit a video production.

• Target 10: Demonstrate knowledge of basic non-linear editing

What did I do?:

Filmed multiple clips of a person throwing a frisbee and in three different frame rates.

What did I learn?:

How to film and edit in different frame rates and slowing them down in Premiere.

What were the results?:

A short film of different frame rates, comparing them when slowed down by 50%.
